Bring Doctora into your EHR — right inside Chrome
The Doctora Chrome extension turns the browser tab you already use into an AI scribe. Open the side panel, document hands-free, and one-click auto-fill charts in supported cloud EHRs.
Works in Google Chrome · 7-day free trial · HIPAA compliant · No credit card required
What the extension does
Three jobs, all in the browser tab you're already in.
Document hands-free during the exam
Open Doctora in Chrome's side panel and start an encounter. Doctora transcribes the visit and structures it into a SOAP note while you stay with the patient.
One-click chart entry
In supported cloud EHRs, the extension writes the AI-generated note directly into the right chart fields — narrative, findings, diagnoses, and procedures — instead of a copy-paste blob.
The right patient is always queued
The extension reads your EHR's schedule for the day so the patient you're seeing is already loaded in Doctora — no separate lookup, no duplicate data entry.
Install in under a minute
Open Chrome and you're a few clicks from a working AI scribe.
Add to Chrome
Click Add to Chrome on the Chrome Web Store listing. The Doctora Assistant icon will appear in your toolbar.
Sign in to Doctora
Log in at app.doctora.io. The extension connects to your account automatically — no extra credentials, no separate setup wizard.
Open your EHR
Open the EHR tab you already work in. Doctora detects the system, surfaces today's schedule, and opens in the side panel when you start an encounter.
Where the extension works
Cloud EHRs get one-click chart auto-fill. Anywhere else, the side-panel scribe still saves you the typing.
Cloud EHRs the extension writes into
- •RevolutionEHR — full chart write-back, schedule sync
- •Eyefinity EHR — auto-entry with VSP-aware coding
- •Eye Cloud Pro — chart-tab field mapping, schedule sync
Additional cloud EHRs are in active development. See our integrations page for the current list.
Works alongside any EHR
Even without direct chart write-back, you can run Doctora in the Chrome side panel during the exam, review the structured note, and drop it into your EHR.
Practices on on-premise systems like CrystalPM or OfficeMate / ExamWRITER get full write-back through Doctora's desktop agent — the Chrome extension is the right starting point for cloud EHR users.
Built for clinical use
The extension follows the same security posture as the rest of Doctora.
HIPAA compliant
End-to-end encryption in transit and at rest. BAAs available for every practice.
Stays in your browser session
The extension reuses the EHR session you're already logged into. No separate vendor credentials, no scraped passwords.
Doctor in control
Every AI-generated section is reviewable before it's written to the chart. Doctor edits always take priority over the AI.
Frequently asked questions
- Do I need a Doctora account first?
- Yes. Sign up at app.doctora.io first, then install the extension. Both take under a minute. The first 7 days are free with no credit card required.
- Which browsers does the extension support?
- Google Chrome and Chromium-based browsers (Edge, Brave, Arc) that support Chrome Web Store extensions. Safari and Firefox are not currently supported.
- Can I use the extension if my EHR isn't in the supported list?
- Yes — the side-panel scribe works alongside any EHR. You'll get the AI documentation, transcript, structured note, and ICD-10/CPT coding. Direct chart write-back depends on whether your EHR is on the cloud-EHR list above (or supported by Doctora's desktop agent for on-premise systems).
- Is patient data sent to third parties?
- No. Patient data flows between your browser, your EHR, and Doctora's HIPAA-compliant infrastructure. We sign Business Associate Agreements with every practice and don't share PHI with third parties for marketing or training purposes.
- Will the extension slow down my EHR?
- No. The extension runs in Chrome's isolated extension context and only activates when you trigger an action in Doctora. It does not interfere with your EHR's normal page load or workflows.
- How do I uninstall it?
- Right-click the Doctora Assistant icon in your Chrome toolbar and pick Remove from Chrome. Removing the extension does not affect your Doctora account or notes.
